Usage Instructions

Prepare the Power Supply: Ensure the rechargeable battery is installed correctly, or connect the CMS 70A to an appropriate AC power source.

Connect the SpO₂ Probe: Insert the external SpO₂ probe into the designated connector on the device.

Power On: Press the power button to switch on the Contec CMS70A.

Position the Patient's Finger: Place the patient's finger correctly inside the SpO₂ probe according to the probe design.

Remain Still: Keep the finger and probe reasonably still during measurement to help obtain stable readings.

View Measurements: Allow the device to process the signal. SpO₂, pulse rate, PI, pulse waveform, and bar-graph information will appear on the display.

Configure Alarm Limits: If required, set appropriate upper and lower alarm limits for SpO₂ and pulse rate according to the monitoring requirements.
