The RMS Bi-Directional Digital Turbine is a detachable airflow transducer designed for compatible RMS pulmonary function testing (PFT) spirometers, including the RMS Helios 401 PC-based Spirometer and RMS Helios 702 Spirometer.
The turbine uses an infrared interruption sensing principle to detect turbine movement and measure airflow in both inspiratory and expiratory directions. The measured airflow information is processed by the connected RMS spirometer for pulmonary function testing and respiratory measurements.
With a specified flow range of -10 to +16 L/sec, maximum volume of 8 litres, and ±1% accuracy, the digital turbine is designed for reliable airflow and volume measurement during compatible spirometry tests.
